Mica is a naturally occurring sheet silicate which is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic.

Mica flakes are greatly sought after by industries involved in manufacturing oil drilling machinery, brake linings, clutch facings and acoustic speakers. Mica flakes are absolutely free from any contamination and are seen as a safe alternative to asbestos.

Micronised Mica Powder is used extensively in paints, due to its anti-corrosive and anti-tarnish properties. It is also used in producing plastics of lower specification and in welding electrodes.
